Palacio Guaqui

Origins

The history of this mansion dates back to the 19th century, when the Spanish crown created the noble title of Count of Guaqui for a prominent Creole family from Arequipa of Navarrese origin. This family, owners of several estates and engaged in commerce and mining, held high political and military positions.
